Yes, I know that so far he is the only one running for Attorney General on our side, and with the filing deadline only about a month away, he is likely to stay unopposed. It is interesting to see that his campaign does maintain a steady drumbeat, a regular role out of more endorsements. Below the break I will offer the text of the latest, three people from the three biggest population centers in the Old Dominion. Just so those of you not on the email distribution for the press releases can stay in touch.

Shannon Announces Support From Lawmakers In Three Largest Population Centers
New Round of Endorsements Demonstrates Shannon’s Strength in Key Markets

Delegate Steve Shannon announced today that three more House members have joined his campaign for Attorney General. The latest lawmakers joining Shannon’s campaign are Delegate Joe Bouchard (D-Virginia Beach), Delegate Delores McQuinn (D-Richmond), and Delegate Mark Sickles (D-Fairfax).

“I’m proud to have the support of such a diverse group of legislators,” said Delegate Steve Shannon. “Having Delegates Sickles, McQuinn, and Bouchard join our campaign at this critical time is a key boost to our effort to take back the Attorney General’s office for the people of Virginia,” Shannon continued.

“As a Naval officer, I helped defend our nation for nearly three decades, and I saw the character it takes to serve,” Delegate Joe Bouchard said. “Having served with Steve in the General Assembly, I’ve seen firsthand that he has what it takes to be an effective Attorney General who works night and day to protect Virginia families, and that’s why I’m proud to join Steve in this campaign,” Bouchard continued.

“Having served my community for nearly twenty years on the School Board, on City Council, as Vice-Mayor of Richmond and now in the General Assembly, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges we all face as we take on gangs and the drugs they bring to our streets,” Delegate Delores McQuinn said. “As a former prosecutor, I know Steve has what it takes to help our communities take on the challenges we face and win. He’ll be an Attorney General who will fight for us,” McQuinn continued. "I believe Steve will not just put a band-aid on the problems, but I believe that he will be a man that diligently seeks solutions," McQuinn concluded.

“For six years, I have had the opportunity to watch Steve close up, working for the people of Fairfax County and, really, all Virginians,” Delegate Mark Sickles said. “Steve knows we need to provide the finest education for our kids so that we will be prepared for the 21st century economy. I can promise you that he will bring a strong work ethic and sound judgment to the Attorney General’s office,” Sickles continued.
